Where you fit in:
As the Business Development Manager for South Africa, your primary goal will be to close new client engagements and projects for Robosoft Technologies in your territory. Client engagements are typically for Digital Strategy, UI/UX design and engineering services, with an emphasis on Mobile and Digital.
Prospective clients can be brands, agencies, fast-growing startups, mid-sized businesses and large enterprises that require creative or engineering help in executing their Mobile/Digital products or service strategies.
You must be a hands-on self-starter with a hunter mentality, who leads by example, and is able to manage and prioritize multiple client engagements effectively and successfully.
Roles and responsibilities for the position include:
- Identifying and building relationships with prospective buyers of Robosoft services
- Uncovering, qualifying, and documenting opportunities
- Planning, preparing for, and facilitating follow-up meetings with clients and prospects
- Facilitating each opportunity’s sales strategy
- Writing and presenting winning proposals with the support of other Robosoft resources
- Reporting on prospecting and deal status
- Closing deals and transitioning projects to the engagement teams
- Providing feedback from sales calls and customer comments to help shape sales and marketing initiatives
The ideal candidate has:
- Passion for Mobile and Digital and a firm belief that it has and will have a tremendous impact on business and life
- Over 4-5 years of IT Services sales experience selling digital, mobile, web, consumer-tech, social media strategy, and/or digital marketing in South Africa Geo
- Prior experience in Digital Agency, Consultancy/Advisory, Technology in South Africa Geo would be plus
- Focused on consultative selling
- A network of connections and past clients in the Banking, Financial Services or Insurance, Retail & Ecommerce, Healthcare, Media & Entertainment and Technology verticals is highly desired
- An insatiable curiosity and knowledge about all things tech, mobile, apps, etc. and how recent developments can impact business strategies
- A working knowledge of a mobile apps to the extent that most initial client questions can be answered without consulting a developer
- An innate ability to synthesize various data, learning, and research to articulate the most important and actionable insights
- Ability to effectively articulate (verbally and in written form) Robosoft business, engineering, and design capabilities and solutions
- Ability to effectively articulate each prospect’s business requirements and key success factors
- Ability to clearly document sales activities and opportunities
- Ability to prepare and present winning presentations at the executive level
- Mastery of social networking and social media; social selling experience and expertise in new age sales methods and tools
- College degree required; MBA or CS degree is a plus
