Of late there have been many reports suggesting that ‘the app boom is overpainting a grim picture for the developers. Quite a number of developers have abandoned their apps in as much as 3 months in the last few years because of the broken app discovery. However, Amir Ghodrati, Senior Manager of Marketing Insights at App Annie suggests otherwise. According to him the app economy is actually surging, not slowing down. He suggests app publishers need to deploy new and unique strategies for monetization.

After a long wait YouTube is finally bringing the ability to broadcast live from from your mobile through its app. It will have regular features such as search, recommend, playlists, protection from unauthorized uses and more. At a time when videos are becoming one of the most popular tools for communication, YouTube’s latest addition would be welcomed by the millennials. The new feature has launched with The Young Turks, AIB, Platica Polinesia, SacconeJolys and Alex Wassabi and soon it will be available to all.

Instagram breaking the language barrierAs we advance towards 2020, perhaps languages are no more going to be a barrier between people, all thanks to machine learning. In the coming months, on tapping comments, captions and user bios in Instagram a user will be able to see the translation from the original language to the language selected in the settings. This means better opportunities for brands to reach potential customers and understand each other. Along with this Instagram also announced that it now has 500 million registered users.
